12th Annual Jodi's Race for Awareness Info
This is information for the IN PERSON race happening on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
At this time, the city of Denver is allowing outdoor events up to 5,000 people to operate. In an effort to keep all our participants safe, Jodi's Race is limiting registrations to 150 people for each of eight start times.
We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety and health of all participants!
PLEASE NOTE, due to the pandemic:
The Survivor Breakfast will be held online on Sunday, June 13th at 10:00 am. We will NOT be holding an in-person breakfast (and we are sad about that, too!) Watch for more details coming soon! We will be sending you your beads, so grab your teal finery and join us online!
Spectators are NOT allowed. Only a certain number of participants are allowed in the park at any given time and must be registered for one of the eight start times.
Our Team Village will have to wait until 2022. Team captains, give your team a shout by creating a post in our "Virtual Team Village"
The in-person Vendor Expo will be very limited. But you can visit our Virtual Vendor Village!

Maps and Parking
Jodi's Race takes place in Denver's City Park with most activities happening in front of the City Park Pavilion. You can view a map of the area HERE.
Free parking is available at East High School and around City Park in the surrounding neighborhood. View our PARKING MAP. There is NO shuttle service between East High School and the Pavilion.
Please contact at least one week prior to race day if you need handicapped parking.
A VERY limited number of close in handicap parking spaces are available. EVEN IF YOU HAVE A PERMIT, if all the spaces are gone before you arrive on race morning, you have two options:
Drop your passenger off in the handicap lot closest to the City Park Pavilion, then you must re-park at East High or in the neighborhood. NOTE: The passenger drop off is open only until 8:00 am and is CLOSED from 8:00 am until 9:30 am. NO exceptions!
Park in the Denver Museum of Nature and Science lot and then take a free shuttle from the Museum to the City Park Pavilion.

RACE SHIRT and PACKET PICK UP
Packet pick up will be Friday, June 11th from 10 am to 5 pm at Runner's Roost, 1685 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver. If you plan to pick up more than 5 shirts / bibs (for your family, friends, or team), please email no later than Weds., June 9 and provide the name of each person for whom you will be picking up shirts.
Of course, you can pick up your t-shirt and bib on race day morning (June 12) no earlier than 30 minutes before your race wave start time.
Your donations support the many programs of the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance which directly benefit Colorado women statewide including Nicki's Circle Support and Information Groups, COCA Cares Financial Assistance Program, Ovarian Cancer Resource Guides and Comfort Kits for newly diagnosed women, Survivors Teaching Students: Saving Women's Lives (survivors share their stories of diagnosis and misdiagnosis with medical students in order to raise awareness of ovarian cancer), Carol's Wish Financial Navigation Program, and COCA's statewide ovarian cancer awareness efforts...and we are developing even more programs that will be launching soon! You can learn more about COCA's programs by visiting our website: www.Colo-OvarianCancer.org.
Any event held on public property (such as City Park) CANNOT REQUIRE attendees to be vaccinated to attend. Our COVID mitigation plan AND the social contract you agree to when you register for the race requires that you wear face masks when in close proximity of someone outside your family "bubble".
Strollers (and babies!) are welcome at this family friendly event. If you are running with a stroller, you will be asked to wait for the stroller race wave.
FAMILY FUN ZONE
We are not able to host the Family Fun Zone this year. We look forward to making it happen in 2022.
Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome at Jodi’s Race. Please bring bags to pick up after your furry friend when necessary.
Jodi's Race takes place rain or shine!
FOOD and WATER
Water will be available AFTER the race. We are not allowed to hand out water on the course. And free pre-packaged refreshments will be available as you exit the park.
You may absolutely run (or walk) with headphones. But please stay aware of those around you.
